Fair use
Last updated 25 October 2026
Personal use
All GetOnIt plans are for personal use by one person, in a phone or a device of their own. Sharing your connection with your own laptop or tablet (tethering or hotspot) is fine.
What counts as not fair use
- Reselling or sharing the service commercially
- Using the SIM in a SIM box, gateway or other equipment that routes calls or traffic for others
- Using it in equipment that generates traffic continuously, such as a server, always-on camera system or permanent home broadband replacement for a household
- Automated or bulk calls or texts, spam, or nuisance calls
- Anything unlawful
Network management
At busy times and places, the network may manage traffic so everyone gets a fair service. This applies to all customers on the network, not just GetOnIt, and may briefly slow some types of traffic.
What we do if use is not fair
If your use looks clearly outside this policy, we will contact you first and explain why. If it carries on, we may move you to a plan with a data allowance, or suspend or end the service as our terms allow. We will not do this for ordinary heavy personal use.
